Miami-Dade County Condo Sales Soar Last Week

Miami-Dade County condo sales surged last week, with total dollar volume, total sales, and price per square foot exceeding their totals from the previous week.

Brokers closed 149 condo sales totaling $146 million last week, up from 107 condo sales totaling $61 million the week prior.

Last week, units sold for an average of $978,000, higher than the $572,000 from the week prior. The average price per square foot rose to $569 from $469, according to data from condo.com. Last week, condos closed after an average of 64 days on the market.

For the top 10 sales, prices ranged from $2.3 million to $27.1 million. Four sales exceeded $5 million in price.

Fendi Château Residences unit 1001 at 9349 Collins Avenue in Surfside took the top spot with a $27 million closing. Arno De Vos with De Vos Real Estate represented the buyer and Jonathan Mann with Coldwell Banker’s Jills Zeder Group represented the seller for the sale, which breaks down to $3,966 per square foot. The sale was completed off-market, according to Mann.

The runner-up was unit 2001 at the Estates at Acqualina at 17975 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach, which sold for $12 million after 112 days on the market. Yansy Checa with Acqualina Realty had the listing, and Leonore Aguirre-Sibilo and George Khoury with GK Realty Group represented the buyer.
