In the latest roundup of industry hiring news, Boca Raton-based Waramaug Hospitality named partner and principal Ferit Ferhangil the hotel investment group’s new CEO, according to a press release. Ferhangil succeeds Leslie Ng, who will move into the role of co-vice chairman of the board on Jan. 1.

Ferhangil joined Waramaug as a principal in 2021, LinkedIn shows. His other experience includes leading HazelStream Capital, a private equity firm focused on hotel property investment. He also spent more than 20 years as CEO of Miami-based developer Flagstone Property Group.

Waramaug owns a $1 billion portfolio of 60 hotels with more than 10,000 keys nationwide, the release shows.
