Miami-Dade County’s sales tumbled the third week of January, following a surge the week before.
Brokers closed 81 condo sales totaling $70.6 million from Jan. 14th to Jan. 20th. The previous week, brokers closed 100 condo sales totaling $100 million.
Last week’s units sold for an average of $871,473, lower than the $1 million sales average from the previous week. The average price per square foot fell to $543 from $634, according to data from condo.com. Condos closed after an average of 84 days on the market.
For the top 10 sales, prices ranged from $1.5 million to $14.3 million
Fendi Château Residences unit 806, at 9349 Collins Avenue in Surfside took the top spot with a $14.3 million closing. The former CEO of the defunct hedge fund Galleon Group, Gary Rosenbach, sold the unit to an unknown buyer for $3,176 per square foot. Devin Kay with Douglas Elliman handled both sides of the deal. The sale closed after 70 days on the market.
Mansions at Acqualina, unit 2802 at 17749 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach closed for the second highest amount, $7.3 million, or $1,573 per square foot, after 47 days on the market. Victoria Krasnov with the Reznik Group had the listing. Tomer Kort with the Brokerage South Florida Real Estate represented the buyer.
