In the latest South Florida real estate hiring news, firms are adding and promoting talent across the region.
The Design Center of the Americas brought in Jorge Berrios as director of design services, according to a press release. Before joining Dania Beach-based DCOTA, Berrios worked as senior interior designer at Adriana Hoyos Design Studio in Coral Gables, the release says. He has also worked with Keuken Design & Services in Miami, 4141 Design Group and Brito Design Studio.
Katz & Associates promoted Daniel Gardner to director, the firm announced. Gardner, who is based in the Boca Raton office, has worked for two years as an associate. Prior to joining Katz, Gardner was a leasing associate with Weingarten Realty for three years, according to LinkedIn.
CityPlace Doral named Avison Young’s Angel Cabrera as senior general manager of the mixed-use development, according to a press release. In his new role, Cabrera will manage daily property operations, special events, marketing and hitting revenue targets, the release shows.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Cabrera was a general manager with Pacific Retail Capital Partners, where he oversaw the Broward Mall in Plantation, according to LinkedIn.
Avison Young also recently hired Patricia Nooney as principal and director of real estate management services.
SVN Commercial Partners is opening an office in West Palm Beach, marking its sixth Florida office, the firm announced. SVN leased at 2101 Vista Parkway, according to a company spokesperson, who declined to provide the office’s square footage.
Managing Director Spero Adamis will head the office, leaving behind the firm he founded, Cornerstone Commercial Partners, in Chicago. Adamis helmed Cornerstone as a managing partner for more than 16 years, according to LinkedIn.
Serhant is bulking up in Palm Beach County. The brokerage brought in the Saltwater Home Group, a team of six agents led by Denise Torres and Stephanie Muzzillo that specializes in northern Palm Beach County, a release shows. Torres and Muzzillo join Serhant from Keller Williams. Their Saltwater Home team closed more than $50 million in deals in 2023, according to the release.
