The couple bought their longtime property in 1984 for $225,000, records show. They built the 4,000-square-foot house in 1998 on a half acre. It has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, one half-bathroom, a pool and a dock, according to property records.
Waterfront North Bay Road properties have been in high demand and short supply since the pandemic real estate boom took off four years ago. Billionaire Barry Diller dropped a record $45 million on a 1.5-acre waterfront lot on the bayfront street last month.
Earlier this month an entity linked to the Reuben Brothers bought a waterfront spec home on North Bay Road for $14 million. Developer and hospitality mogul Keith Menin bought a waterfront house for $16.1 million in April. It had belonged to the late Don Browne, former president of Telemundo.
