Continuum closing again tops Miami-Dade weekly condo sales

Two different Miami Beach units led the top 10 sales, ranging from $3.7M to $10M

Miami-Dade County’s condo sales, dollar volume, and price per square foot rose last week, with a unit at Continuum in South Beach topping the charts for the second consecutive week.

Brokers closed 174 condo sales totaling $168 million from May 13th to May 20th. The previous week, brokers closed 165 condo sales totaling $140 million.

Last week’s units sold for an average price of $964,717, higher than the $850,114 average price from the previous week. The average price per square foot rose to $641 from $560, according to data from Redfin.

For the top 10 sales, prices ranged from $3.7 million to $10 million. 

Continuum unit 2201 at 50 South Pointe Drive in Miami Beach took the top spot with a $10 million closing. The sale closed at $3,482 per square foot. Mario Kroeff with Douglas Elliman had the listing. Sheila and Deven Rojas, both with Brown Harris Stevens, represented the buyer.

It’s the second week in a row that Continuum topped the charts. The week prior, financier Jim Chanos sold his Continuum unit for $17.8 million. He bought it in 2001 for $3.1 million.

Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach unit 512, at 4701 North Meridian Avenue, closed for the second highest amount, $8,500,000, or $2,022 per square foot. Leticia Silveyra and Isaura Curiel, both with One Sotheby’s International Realty, had the listing. Jill Hertzberg of the Jills Zeder Group at Coldwell Banker Realty, represented the buyer.
