In the latest roundup of South Florida luxury residential sales, a tech CEO, former Goldman Sachs partner and investors bought homes across the tri-county region.

Deals spanned Miami Beach to Palm Beach, and ranged in price from $10.2 million to $14.3 million.

Miami Beach

In Miami Beach, software boss Jose Sperman bought a waterfront house for $10.7 million. 

Records show Sperman, CEO of Miami-based Adistec, bought the house at 2608 Biarritz Drive from BBRC Real Estate LLC, a Florida entity managed by Renan da Rocha Gomes Bastos. Bastos is a trader who sued Hong Kong-based online foreign exchange FxWinning in September for allegedly withholding $80 million, Newsfile reported in September. 

Carolina Lara-Arashiro and Andre Duek Roberto de Lima of One Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing, and Gustavo Sperman of La Playa Properties Group brought the buyer.

Bastos bought the house for $15.5 million in 2022, records show. Built in 2019 on 0.3 acres, the 5,500-square-foot house has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, one half-bathroom, a pool and a dock, according to property records.  

Bastos listed the house for $15.5 million in February and dropped the price three times before selling for $4.8 million less than he paid for it, Redfin shows. 

Bay Harbor Islands

Developer Samuel Bissu sold a waterfront spec home in Bay Harbor Islands for $14.3 million. 

Bissu’s Luxom Project V LLC, a Florida entity, sold the house at 9501 East Broadview Drive, Redfin shows. The deed has yet to be recorded, and the buyer is unknown.

Oren Alexander and Isaac Lustgarten of Official had the listing, and Chad Carroll of Compass brought the buyer.

Bissu bought the property for $4.8 million in 2022, property records show. He completed the home earlier this year. It spans 6,200 square feet, with seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, one half-bathroom, a pool and a dock, the listing shows. Architect Simon Bissu designed the home, and Margaret Bissu led interior design, according to the listing. 

Palm Beach

In Palm Beach, Jeffrey Newton, managing director of Gemini Investors in Wellesley, Massachusetts, bought a non-waterfront home for $12.5 million in an off-market deal.

Records show Newton and Marie Palandjian bought the house at 257 West Indies Drive from a Delaware entity named for the address.

The selling entity bought the house for $5.6 million in 2020, records show. Built in 1961 on 0.3 acres, the 3,600-square-foot house has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, according to property records. The seller recently completed an extensive renovation of the home. 

Boca Raton

Former Goldman Sachs general partner Gary L. Zwerling bought a waterfront home in Boca Raton’s gated Sanctuary neighborhood for $10.2 million.

Records show Zwerling and his wife, Marie Zwerling, bought the house at 751 Sanctuary Drive from Hugh and Kimberly Levaux.

Ari Albinder of The Keyes Company had the listing, and Kevin Kreutzfeld of Premier Estate Properties brought the buyers.

Hugh Levaux, a former vice president at the biotech firm Flatiron Health, and his wife bought the house for $7 million in 2022, according to property records. The 7,300-square-foot house was built in 1988 on 0.3 acres, records show. It has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, three half-bathrooms, a pool and 175 feet of waterfront the listing shows.
