Top One Sotheby’s International Realty agent Jessica Adams left the firm to join Douglas Elliman, The Real Deal has learned.

Adams was the No. 2 ranked agent at Miami-based One Sotheby’s based on gross commission volume, and the third top agent based on sales volume so far this year. She joined Elliman with her husband, Jason Adams, who is also an architect.

Adams closed sales totaling more than $265 million in the past three years, and over $600 million during her entire career, she said. She and her husband are based out of Douglas Elliman’s Coral Gables office at 1515 Sunset Drive.

“I really wasn’t looking to move. Jay [Parker] and I met and we just clicked and they gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse,” Adams said, declining to share the terms of her arrangement with Elliman.

Adams, who focuses on Coral Gables and Coconut Grove, said she will be working on new development sales at Elliman. Her top deals include the $17.5 million sale of a penthouse at Park Grove, a Related Group and Terra development. The July sale marked a per-square-foot record for Coconut Grove.

She said she experienced “huge growth” since she and her husband joined One Sotheby’s in 2019.

Before One Sotheby’s, Adams worked with what was then the Riley Smith Group at EWM Realty International, now Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty. Smith and his team joined Compass two years ago.

One Sotheby’s recently brought on longtime broker Mark Zilbert, who has been operating his eponymous brokerage since leaving Brown Harris Stevens in 2021. Zilbert will build a team of real estate agents and work on digital strategy for the brokerage’s new developments.
