The summer slowdown is setting in, but South Florida’s real estate players are still making hiring moves.
Top One Sotheby’s International Realty agent Anna Sherrill jumped to Official and took over as sales director for the Raleigh Rosewood Residences and Hotel, Miami Beach, The Real Deal has learned. Developer Michael Shvo tapped Oren and Tal Alexander’s Official to lead sales for the planned 17-story, 44-unit oceanfront condo tower at 1751, 1757 and 1775 Collins Avenue in May.
Sherrill had been with One Sotheby’s for almost a decade, and has worked on sales for the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences at the Surf Club, the St. Regis Residences Miami and One Thousand Museum, according to a press release.
Commercial brokerage giant Cushman & Wakefield has named Joe Caridi as managing director for its South Florida operations, according to a press release. Caridi is relocating to the Magic City from Long Island, where he has been the firm’s managing director for Long Island, Connecticut and Westchester markets, the release shows.
In his new role, Caridi joins current managing principal Wanda Riley in overseeing Cushman & Wakefield’s team of 450 across Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach.
Also in Miami, Harvey Hernandez’s Natiivo Hospitality tapped Yoav Gery as its president. Gery was most recently chief development officer at Viceroy Hotel Group in New York, according to LinkedIn. His previous roles include a one-year stint as the head of international real estate at WeWork from 2014 to 2015, and leadership roles at Marriott, Selina and Knotel.
Hernandez launched Natiivo in 2019, and now has projects in Austin, Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
The Davie-based development firm ANF Group promoted Tom Kosier to director of preconstruction and hired Becky Weir as director of marketing, according to a press release. Kosier will oversee all preconstruction activities in his new role, and Weir will head the marketing department in hers.
