Movers & Shakers: Shoreham Capital taps VP of investments

In the latest roundup of South Florida real estate hiring news, firms are bringing in new leadership and expanding their ranks.

In West Palm Beach, real estate investment firm Shoreham Capital hired Josh Orell as vice president of investments, according to a press release. In his new role, Orell will oversee sourcing investments and managing Shoreham’s portfolio, the release shows. 

Prior to Shoreham, Orell was a senior vice president at New York City-based Camp Eight Capital, an investment firm focused on multifamily assets.

Doug Faron and Nick Zoumas founded Shoreham in 2022, and last year hired Bill Wenner as vice president of development and Joe Nesseler as managing director of finance. 

Kimco Realty is expanding its Miami team, a press release shows. The Jericho, New York-based real estate investment trust hired Dani Cohn as its vice president of lifestyle leasing, leading leasing for the firm’s Mary Brickell Village and Dania Pointe, the release shows. 

Cohn was previously a vice president of leasing at Miami-based RPT Realty for two years, according to LinkedIn. 
Re/Max Advance Realty, led by Melanie De Armas and Anthony Askowitz, acquired Miami Lakes-based Re/Max Unique, according to a press release. With the addition of Re/Max Unique’s 20 agents, Re/Max Advance Realty now has 180 agents across eight South Florida offices, the release shows. Eddie Rodriguez will continue to manage the Miami Lakes office.
