Finance executive Andre Hakkak appears to have wrapped up his home search. He paid a record $14.3 million for a Pinecrest spec mansion just weeks after he and his wife Marissa Shipman sold their Coral Gables estate for nearly twice what they paid.

Hakkak’s Allh Separate Property Trust bought the house at 8900 Southwest 64th Court from spec developer Francisco Dionicio’s Dionicio Investment Group, records show.

Michael Diaz of Miami Brokers Group had the listing, and Marily Vasquez of Modern World Realty brought the buyer.

Hakkak is co-founder and CEO of White Oak Global Advisors, a San Francisco-based financial firm that lends to small and mid-size businesses. He was previously founder and chief investment officer of Alpine Global, according to the White Oak website. Shipman, who is not named on the deed, is founder and CEO of Reno, Nevada-based beauty firm theBalm Cosmetics.

The couple bought their previous property, a 12,300-square-foot non-waterfront mansion in Gables Estates for $13.6 million in 2020, and sold it for $27.5 million earlier this month.

Hakkak’s purchase of the Pinecrest mansion marks the priciest residential sale ever in the enclave, trumping billionaire Jorge Mas’ sale of his Pinecrest estate for $13.9 million in January. Prices have been on a steep incline in the South Florida town in recent years, with record sales closing every few months.

Hakkak’s new digs on Southwest 64th Court span 1.2 acres, 10,500 square feet, seven bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and two half-bathrooms, according to a press release. The estate also includes a pool, gym, theater and a guest house. Miami-based Cesar Molina of CMA Design Studios was the architect for the mansion. Dionicio bought the site for $1.3 million in 2017, according to property records.

Other recent Pinecrest deals include NBA star Dion Waiters’ $11.1 million sale of his estate in March, more than four years after being traded from the Miami Heat to the Los Angeles Lakers. Anne Mahlum, the founder of Pilates giant [solidcore], bought a spec mansion for $11.3 million in November, which was a record price at the time.
