South Florida real estate firms are beating the heat with summer hiring moves.
Single-family rental operator Ark Homes for Rent named Wendy W. Gill as its chief financial officer, a press release shows. Gill joins the firm from Columbia Property Trust in Atlanta, where she worked for 12 years, most recently as executive vice president and chief accounting officer, according to LinkedIn.
Ark Homes, based in Bay Harbor Islands, will also be transitioning the current CFO, Gina Cabral, into a new senior leadership role that has yet to be announced, the release shows.
Lee & Associates promoted Christian Baena to senior vice president in its Miami office, according to a press release. Baena was previously a vice president with the firm, and will continue working on the industrial sales and leasing team in his new role.
Prior to joining Lee & Associates last year, Baena spent a year as an associate with Newmark, according to LinkedIn.
Miami-based Haber Law is adding Jonathan Beloff and his Beloff Law team to boost its real estate law practice, according to a press release. Beloff will focus on real estate law, the release shows.
In other real estate law news, Adam J. Weiss and Sebastian Bohorquez are launching their own practice focused on the industry, a press release shows. Weiss Law will focus on real estate transactions, and offer legal counsel on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, litigation and zoning matters, the release shows.
Weiss was most recently a partner with Solomon Cooperman Recondo & Weiss in Miami, focusing on real estate law, the release shows. Bohorquez was previously an attorney with Bilzin Sumberg in Miami for one year before joining Solomon Cooperman Recondo & Weiss as a senior attorney earlier this year, according to LinkedIn.
