Ferraro Law Firm is ditching Brickell in favor of Edgewater.
The law firm leased 28,000 square feet at Oak Row Equities’ mixed-use tower at 2600 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, where it will move in 2026, according to the tenant’s news release. The space is bigger than Ferraro Law Firm’s current 22,000-square-foot office at 600 Brickell Avenue in Miami, where the firm’s lease ends in 2028.
Ferraro Law firm also is an investor in the 2600 Biscayne project, according to the release.
Oak Row, with offices in New York and Miami, is developing the 41-story tower with 399 apartments, nearly 178,000 square feet of offices and 9,200 square feet of retail, according to a notice of commencement recorded in March. That same month, Oak Row scored a $181 million construction loan from Bank OZK for the project.
Oak Row is led by Erik Rutter and David Weitz.
In June, James L. Ferraro Sr., founding shareholder and president of the law firm, withdrew as counsel for luxury residential broker Oren Alexander and his twin brother, Alon Alexander, in two lawsuits accusing the brothers of rape and sexual assault. The Alexander twins and their older brother, Tal Alexander, were arrested this month on federal sex trafficking charges. The brothers and their attorneys have maintained the brothers’ innocence.
Max Benjamin Partners | Brickell | Miami
A boutique real estate investment bank opened an office in Miami’s Brickell.
Beverly Hills-based Max Benjamin Partners leased at 1111 Brickell Avenue, marking its first office on the Eastern seaboard, according to the tenant’s news release. Anastasia Vladislavova leads the Miami office.
Parkway Properties and KKR own the 30-story 1111 Brickell building. The pair paid $248.5 million for the property in 2018, records show.
PKF O’Connor Davies | Fort Lauderdale
An accounting firm opened an office in Fort Lauderdale.
Harrison, New York-based PKF O’Connor Davies leased 5,000 square feet at 200 East Las Olas Boulevard, according to the tenant’s news release. The company has 23 offices in the U.S. and India.
Fort Lauderdale-based Stiles, and Newark, New Jersey-based PGIM Real Estate own the 21-story tower. They paid $108 million for it in 2014, records show.
