With the busy season in full swing, real estate firms are rolling out personnel and hiring changes across South Florida markets.
Miami-based Blanca Commercial Real Estate announced a slate of personnel and leadership moves, according to a press release. The firm promoted EVP Andres del Corral to vice chairman; hired Andrew Ackerman as senior vice president; promoted SVP Christina Stine Jolley to Broward market leader; and hired Talia Abad as associate vice president.
Del Corral joined Blanca 14 years ago, and has since represented clients like the Latin Grammys, IMCD, Intercredit Bank, Sierra Capital, Passerelle Partners and DeSimone Consulting Engineers, according to the release. Ackerman comes to Blanca from Comreal, and in his new role will handle leasing for 400,000 square feet of office space in Broward County. Jolley joined the firm in 2021 as vice president and director of business development. She was previously senior associate with Cushman & Wakefield. Abad also comes from Cushman & Wakefield, and will focus on tenant and landlord representation in Blanca’s health care division, the release shows.
Colliers also made a leadership move, bringing in Nicole Fontaine as EVP, a press release shows. Fontaine will be based in the Boca Raton office and will focus on retail services. She was previously a vice president with Katz & Associates, where she worked for eight years, LinkedIn shows.
In Miami, CBRE tapped Greg Engler as a vice chair for its Florida Capital Markets team, according to a press release. In his new role, Engler will work with the team to develop services for multifamily investors across Florida markets, the release shows. He was previously founder and CEO of his namesake boutique multifamily investment firm, Engler Realty Advisors. Prior to that, he was an EVP with Walker & Dunlop in Atlanta, according to LinkedIn.
Other national firms are also looking to strengthen their Florida teams. Cleveland-based multifamily developer NRP Group hired Brett Gelsomino as senior vice president of development in Florida, according to a press release. In his new role, Gelsomino will lead market-rate development projects across the state. NRP has developments throughout Florida, including in Coconut Creek and Jupiter, its website shows.
Gelsomino was previously CEO of his own Fort Lauderdale-based development company, Gelsomino Holding, for three years, according to LinkedIn. Prior to that he worked for Dallas-based developer Zom Living for 14 years.
In West Palm Beach, Tannenbaum Capital Group affiliate Sunrise Realty Trust hired Alfred Trivilino as managing director, according to a press release. Trivilino will focus on sourcing, underwriting and structuring deals for the commercial lender. He was previously managing director and head of U.S. real estate finance for Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, the release shows.
In Fort Lauderdale, Native Realty promoted two commercial brokers, a press release shows. Adam Docktor was elevated to vice president, and Dino Flora to senior associate, according to the release. Docktor specializes in retail and industrial sales and leasing, and Flora focuses on investment sales and leasing for retail, office and industrial assets.
El-Ad National Properties made two hires at its Alina Residences Boca Raton, a release shows. The firm tapped Joseph Colon as concierge and Ahmed Abbas as assistant property manager, the release shows.Linor Shefer joined the sales team for Riviera Horizon’s planned Pagani Residences in North Bay Village, according to a press release. She was previously a consultant with Dezer Development, her LinkedIn shows.
