Grocery honcho David Cesario and his wife, Leann Cesario, bought a waterfront mansion near Palm Beach Gardens for $15.5 million.

Records show the Cesarios bought the house at 14638 Watermark Way in unincorporated Palm Beach County from Steve and Elizabeth Fowler.

Matthias Fretz with Douglas Elliman had the listing.

David Cesario owns Dave’s Fresh Marketplace, an independent grocery chain in Rhode Island.

Steve Fowler was the founder and president of Commercial Grading, a contractor in North Carolina. He sold a majority stake in the company for $106 million in 2005, according to Forbes.

Records show the Fowlers bought the Watermark Way home for $1.8 million in 2018, property records show. The 8,700-square-foot mansion was built that year on 0.8 acres, according to records. It has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, a pool and a dock.

The Fowlers listed the home for $15.8 million last month, according to Realtor.com.

Palm Beach Gardens is a hub of luxury golf communities where prices have exploded in recent years. Last month, spec developer Myron “Mosie” Miller bought a waterfront house for $12 million. In October, insurance mogul Scott Carmilani bought a mansion in Old Palm Golf Club for $12.7 million. In May, a waterfront spec house sold for $15.6 million
