In the latest batch of South Florida real estate hiring news, one of the region’s most prominent development scions moved up the ladder as succession plans take effect.
Related Group promoted President Jon Paul Pérez to CEO as part of its succession plans, a spokesperson confirmed. Jon Paul Pérez, Related founder Jorge Pérez’s son, will also remain in his role as president, the firm’s website shows. Jorge Pérez will continue in his role as executive chairman of the development giant, and will remain involved in work with Jon Paul Pérez, as well as his son and condo division president Nick Pérez, and the rest of Related’s executive team, according to the spokesperson.
Compass nabbed two more Douglas Elliman agents, a press release shows. Miami Beach-based agents Dan Hechtkopf and Marci DeClaris both jumped to Compass. Hechtkopf had been with Elliman for 10 years, and DeClaris for nearly six years, according to LinkedIn.
Miltiadis Kastanis, one of Elliman’s top agents in Florida, also jumped to Compass this week, as did New York City-based new development specialist Dennis Mangone. Compass also snagged Elliman’s top-producing Connecticut team in January.
In Palm Beach Gardens, Illustrated Properties brought in Mandie Weller as executive sales manager of the luxury brokerage in the firm’s corporate office, a press release shows. In her new role, Weller will lead coaching, transactional support and engage the firm’s strategic partnerships.
