  • Lisa Hedley, Steve Mnuchin’s stepsister, sold her waterfront Palm Beach house for $23.8 million.
  • She purchased the property in 2012 for $2.9 million and built a 3,400-square-foot home there in 2014.
  • The sale occurred as Palm Beach's busy real estate season winds down, following a period of sporadic activity.

Lisa Hedley, the stepsister of former Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, sold a waterfront Palm Beach house for $23.8 million.

Records show Hedley and her husband, Walter D. Wick, sold the house at 173 East Inlet Drive to a trust named for the address and managed by Daniel P. Tighe. The true buyer is unknown.

Kourtney Pulitzer with Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing, and Margit Brandt with Premier Estate Properties brought the buyer.

Hedley is the stepdaughter of banker and art collector Robert Mnuchin, through whom she is a stepsister to Steve Mnuchin, the treasury secretary during Donald Trump’s first administration. She is also a filmmaker and directed the Oscar-nominated 2001 documentary “Dwarfs: Not A Fairy Tale.”

She bought the 0.3-acre East Inlet Drive property for $2.9 million in 2012 and built the 3,400-square-foot home in 2014, records show. Designed by local architect Roger Janssen, it  has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, one half-bathroom and a pool, records and the listing show. It fronts the Palm Beach Inlet, which connects the Intracoastal Waterway to the Atlantic Ocean.

Hedley listed the home for $28.5 million in April of last year, Zillow shows. The year prior, local developer Mosie Miller sold an oceanfront estate on the same street for $68.1 million

Records show Wick, whose LinkedIn lists him as chairman of AutoFair Companies, bought the adjacent home at 179 East Inlet Drive for $11.5 million in 2021.

Hedley and Wick’s sale comes as Palm Beach’s residential real estate busy season is winding down, with seasonal residents departing to their summer homes. After a rush of early deals, sales slowed on the island in the latter half of the spring.

“Right after the election we came out swinging,” said Brandt. “March and April and May have still been strong — it’s just been much more sporadic.”

Earlier this month, Marc Glimcher, head of Pace Gallery, sold his lakefront Palm Beach house for $19.2 million to Jamie McCourt, the former Dodgers CEO and ambassador to France and Monaco under the first Trump administration.
