Summer is over, and South Florida real estate is making hiring moves.
Robert Rivani tapped his top legal officer Marc Shandler as the chief operating officer for his namesake real estate investment firm, according to a press release. Shandler has been the chief legal officer at Rivani’s Black Lion Investment Group for three years, according to LinkedIn. He will be retaining his legal responsibilities in addition to overseeing operational and growth strategy at Rivani, the release states.
Boca Raton-based Eastham Capital named Anthony Librot chief financial officer, according to a press release. He joins the firm from Senné, a Boston-based real estate investment firm where he was chief accounting officer for six months, LinkedIn shows. He previously held C-Suite roles at New England Dental Group and AAM15 Management. In his new role, he will oversee accounting, compliance and risk management, according to the release.
Miami-based Waramaug Hospitality tapped Alex Ulnick as vice president of acquisitions, according to a press release. Ulnick joins the firm from Peregrine Hospitality in Denver, Colorado, where he has worked for four years, most recently as a vice president of acquisitions. With Waramaug, he will lead sourcing, underwriting and structuring for new hotel investments, the release shows. The group’s current portfolio includes 51 hotels totaling 6,490 keys across 14 states, primarily in the franchise and chain-scale segments, according to its website.
Jaime Sturgis’ Native Realty in Fort Lauderdale added two brokers, Jeff Dysart and Connor Gordon, according to a press release. Dysart will focus on working with developers and general contractors on large-scale multifamily projects, and Gordon will specialize in industrial leasing and investment sale, the release shows.
In broker moves, new development specialist AnneMarie Alexander is jumping from Corcoran Group to Douglas Elliman, according to a press release. Alexander works in both South Florida and New York, and has been with Corcoran for four years. She has closed more than $1 billion in career sales.
She will be based out of Elliman’s Biscayne Boulevard office.
Coral Gables agent Oscar Arellano and his namesake team are departing Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty for Coldwell Banker Realty, according to a press release. Arellano had been with BHHS EWM for nearly six years, and was previously an agent with Fortune International Realty (now Fortune Christie’s International Real Estate) for 16 years, his LinkedIn shows. He has closed nearly $1 billion in career sales, and last year his team sold more than $100 million, according to the release.
Serhant landed another in its new Palm Beach office. Greg Forest is joining the brokerage from Sotheby’s International Realty, where he worked for nearly six years, according to LinkedIn. He has closed more than $250 million in career sales, and has sold more than $60 million in the past year, according to a press release.
In West Palm Beach, Related Ross brought in Adam McPherson as senior vice president of residential sales. McPherson will be working on sales for the planned South Flagler House in conjunction with the Corcoran Group team led by Suzanne Frisbie, according to a press release. He joins Related from Douglas Elliman, where he worked on luxury sales in Palm Beach County for eight years, his LinkedIn shows.
In Boca Raton, Colliers brought in Michael Nisenbaum as a vice president focusing on land development and senior housing, according to a press release. He was previously vice president of acquisitions and investments for Belmont Senior Village Living.
