Auto dealer Craig Zinn pays $27M for waterfront Hillsboro Beach mansion

Oceanfront estate includes five-car garage

1011 Hillsboro Mile with Craig Zinn

South Florida auto dealer Craig Zinn paid nearly $27 million for a waterfront mansion in Hillsboro Beach.

Zinn acquired a 10,600-square-foot home on Hillsboro Mile, via a Delaware LLC. It has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and two half-baths. Zinn’s name was crossed off on the $21.4 million mortgage he used to purchase the property. Toyota Financial Savings Bank is his lender. The deal closed at the end of 2025.

Zinn is founder and CEO of the Craig Zinn Automotive Group, which owns Acura, Lexus, Subaru and Toyota dealerships in Broward County. Zinn is among the car dealers who have been expanding its holdings in South Florida. Last year, his company paid $14.5 million for a Hollywood church building near its Toyota dealerships.

Records show Paul and Carol Cutler sold the Hillsboro Beach estate, which spans nearly three quarters of an acre. They paid $4.2 million for the oceanfront lot in 2011.

The house was on the market for $29 million with Sandra Tagliamonte, an agent with One Sotheby’s International Realty. Mark Rothenberg with Ellemar Enterprises represented the buyer.

The estate, built in 2014, includes a saltwater pool and spa, outdoor kitchen, media room, wine room, home gym and a five-car garage, according to the listing.

The sale marks one of the most expensive deals to close in Hillsboro Beach in recent months.  In August, ex-Advanta CEO Dennis Alter sold his nearby oceanfront mansion for $27.1 million. Thomas Dolan, son of late HBO and Cablevision founder Charles Dolan, was later revealed as the buyer. Months earlier, in April, AutoNation CEO Mike Manley bought an oceanfront mansion on the same strip for $14.5 million.
