Miami Beach dermatologist Arthur Weissmann found a buyer for his waterfront Allison Island home last week.
The pending deal marks the most expensive of 23 contracts signed in Miami-Dade County between Jan. 5 and Jan. 11, according to the latest Eklund-Gomes report. It tracks listings of homes and condos asking $4 million and up in Miami-Dade that are included in the Multiple Listing Service. The properties spent 135 days on the market, on average.
Forty-eight luxury listings were added to the market, for a total of 1,287 listings.
The previous week, buyers signed seven contracts for properties in Miami-Dade, asking a combined $79 million.
The asking dollar volume for the 11 single-family homes and 12 condos under contract last week totals $242.7 million, according to the report published by the Douglas Elliman team led by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes.
The single-family homes that entered into contract last week have an average asking price of $10.6 million and spent an average of 144 days on the market. They total $116.6 million in asking dollar volume.

Weissmann and his wife Trudy are selling their longtime home at 6620 Allison Road. The seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom house spans about 6,500 square feet on a 0.5-acre lot. Jordan Karp has the listing. The Weissmanns paid just $1.5 million for the property in 2000.
The property is next door to the waterfront house that Google co-founder Sergey Brin reportedly made an offer to purchase, sources told The Real Deal last week.
The condos that secured buyers last week have an average asking price of $10.5 million and spent 127 days on the market, on average. They total $126.1 million in asking dollar volume, or an average of $2,800 per square foot.
At the top is a four-bedroom, three-bathroom condo at Continuum, at 100 South Point Drive in Miami Beach. A company tied to real estate investor Ralph Winter paid $13.8 million for the 5,049-square-foot unit in 2018. Coldwell Banker’s Jonathan Corso and Jorge Martinez have the listing. It’s now asking $24.3 million, over $4,800 per square foot.
Last week in New York, buyers signed contracts for 20 homes, according to the latest Olshan report. Their combined asking price is $147.4 million, and the typical home spent 1,129 days on the market.
