Movers & Shakers: Miami Realtors CEO Teresa King Kinney to retire 

Kinney will step down from nation’s largest local realtor association after 33 years

Teresa King Kinney, the long-reigning CEO of the Miami Association of Realtors, plans to retire at the end of the year.

Kinney led the association, the nation’s largest local realtor group with 60,000 members, for 33 years, according to a news release. At the end of the year, she will assume the role of CEO Emeritus, the release shows. Kinney stepped into the role in 1993 when Miami Realtors had just 5,000 members, and she charted the organization’s three decades of exponential growth, navigating the 2008 financial downturn and the pandemic market shift. She oversaw the completion of its new headquarters in 2024. 

Prior to joining Miami Realtors, she had been CEO of the St. Joseph Regional Association of Realtors in Missouri. Over the course of her career, she also served in leadership roles with the National Association of Realtors and the Florida Society of Association Executives.

In another leadership transition, Saglo Companies CEO Jack Glottman will step down as CEO and assume the role of chairman, according to a news release. His father Saul Glottman founded the Miami-based firm nearly 50 years ago, and Jack joined the firm in 1998. Hue Chen, Saglo’s president of 10 years, will step into the role of CEO, the release shows. He will be responsible for leading operations, strategy and growth initiatives. 

Savills hired Tom Viscount as executive managing director of industrial services in Florida, a news release shows. Viscount is charged with expanding the firm’s industrial services throughout the state, starting in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. He was previously a principal with Avison Young. 

Brown Harris Stevens brought in a slate of new agents to its Miami offices, according to a news release. Lital Levy, Onur Tastan and Ruhan Syed joined the brokerage at its Continuum Miami Beach office. Claudia Morena, Gissette Gonzalez and Lucia Vanegas joined at its South Miami office.

Weiss Law brought in Mark Grafton as a partner and chair of its land use practice group, a news release shows. Grafton joins from Shubin Law Group, where he was a partner for two years. He is experienced in advising developers, property owners and investors on land use, zoning and entitlement issues.
