Celine Dion’s former waterfront estate in Jupiter is under contract to a new buyer, topping new pending sales activity in Palm Beach County.
Buyers signed 25 contracts between May 11 and May 17 for luxury properties in Palm Beach County, according to a report by Douglas Elliman’s Eklund-Gomes team. The previous week, buyers signed 26 contracts for nearly $200 million.
The homes that were marked pending last week total $129.3 million in asking dollar volume and averaged 107 days on the market, or over three months.
The report tracks signed contracts for single-family homes and condos asking $3 million or more in the Beaches MLS. It identified 40 new listings, and 1,166 active listings on the market.
Of the properties that went pending last week, 22 were single-family homes and three were condos.
The average asking price for those condos was $3.7 million, or $1,552 per square foot. The condos under contract spent an average of 112 days on the market. The condos totaled $11 million in combined dollar volume.
The average asking price for the single-family homes was $5.4 million, or $1,207 per square foot, and they spent an average of 102 days on the market.
The most expensive home to find a buyer last week was the waterfront property at 370 Eagle Drive in Jupiter. The eight-bedroom, nine-and-a-half-bathroom mansion, which spans nearly 15,000 square feet, was previously owned by Dion and her late husband, René Angélil. It’s currently on the market with Rob Thomson of Waterfront Properties, asking $20 million.
The priciest condo to enter a contract is a unit on Singer Island in Riviera Beach. Construction boss Rui Pires owns the 3,500-square-foot condo at 5150 North Ocean Drive. Unit 1201 includes three bedrooms and five bedrooms, and it’s on the market with Andrea Roth of Echo Fine Properties, asking $3.3 million. Pires paid $2.8 million for the unit in 2024, records show. He is CEO of New Jersey-based Roy Rock, a construction company.
