LEED certification for Douglas Entrance

Douglas Entrance, a five-building suite at the north end of Coral Gables, received a silver certification for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for existing buildings, according to owner Transwestern Investment Company. The LEED program assigns points for various steps, including efforts in recycling, water and energy efficiency and air quality, and Transwestern is pursuing a strategy of improving the environmental standards of its 19 properties.
