A new development on the river in Fort Lauderdale will be getting its
inspiration from the New York neighborhood of Brooklyn, according to the
South Florida Business Journal. The former Cabi New River site ha been
purchased out of bankruptcy by Cymbal Development’s Asaf Cymbal, who
plans to build a mixed-use site taking its influences from around the
world. Cymbal paid $11.5 million for the project, which will largely be
influenced by the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, he said. The site
was purchased through a limited liability company called A&C
Builders. [SFBJ]
