Home of UM presidents sells for $9M

The home of every University of Miami president since 1974, including Donna Shalala, has been sold for $9 million, the Miami Herald reported. The buyer was Maria Montalva, a resident of New York City. The home, which includes a special room built to host the Dalai Lama during his visits to Coral Gables, is being replaced by a new property on 32 acres in Pinecrest, where Shalala will eventually move. Esslinger-Wooten-Maxwell’s Audrey Ross and Judy Zeder were the listing brokers on the property, while Nathan Zeder represented the buyer. [Miami Herald]
