Half of the 167 units at Baltus House, a condominium on the edge of Miami’s Design District, had reservations to buy in only a month, according to the project’s developers.

The Related Group and Strategic Properties are attributing the high number of reservations in such a short time in part to the interiors and furnishings planned for the 15-story tower, which is slated to break ground in September.

Related and Strategic have signed on the Baltus Collection, a high-end contemporary Spanish furniture store, to help them compete for buyers with increasingly extravagant flare.

“Baltus House was meticulously designed to bring residents an exquisite living experience,” designer Javier Martin, the collection’s founder, said in a statement.

Artwork from the personal collection of Related co-founder Jorge Pérez will hang in the lobby. A private gallery will display  work by Lluís Barba, a Barcelona artist favored by Pérez, and a garage mural by Venezuelan artist Jaime Gili.
