Avison Young doubles Fla. footprint in 6 months

Toronto-based Avison Young, the world’s fastest-growing commercial real estate manager, has doubled its total square footage under management in Florida in just six months.

Avison Young was recently chosen as the exclusive property manager of Sawgrass Distribution Center, a 131,800-square-foot, three-building portfolio in Sunrise, bringing its total square footage in Florida to 7.1 million, according to a release.

The Sawgrass Distribution Center is located at the intersection of I-75, I-595, the Sawgrass Expressway and 136th Avenue, minutes from the Florida Turnpike. The buildings boast dock high and ground level overhead doors as well as 24-foot clear ceilings, the release said. –Emily Schmall
