Melo finishes rental tower in Miami’s Edgewater area

The Melo Group, a father-son development company, has wrapped up construction on 22 Skyview, a 258-unit, 32-story rental apartment tower in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood.

The building, at 425 Northeast 22nd Street, represents a new generation of rental developments emerging in South Florida. It is expected to open later this year.

Jose Luis Melo and his sons, Carlos Melo and Martin Melo, hail from Argentina but have been active in South Florida, especially the Miami Biscayne Corridor and Brickell area, for about a dozen years.  Now, they are focusing on the Edgewater neighborhood, with seven condo projects across a roughly four-block radius of the neighborhood, as previously reported.
