A waterfront Pompano Beach site once planned for a luxury hotel is being marketed for sale through a court-appointed receiver.

The receiver is selling 2.8 acres next to the Hillsboro Inlet on behalf of current owner Hunter Hospitality of Wellington, Daily Business Review reported. Hunter is tied to Bellingham, Wash.-based luxury developer Viking Development, which is in receivership. The company had preliminary approvals for a 150-room hotel and restaurant project at the 2629 North Riverside Drive site.

A 25-slip marina is located on the site, which Hunter acquired for $1.5 million in 2011.

Colliers International Hotels executive vice presidents Richard Lillis and Kent Schwarz and senior commercial associate Clinton Casey are marketing the site for the receiver. There is no asking price. [Daily Business Review]Eric Kalis
