A proposed Star Island mansion resembles more spaceship than house.

Miami-based Beilinson Gomez Architects designed the home, which will replace the existing house at 44 Star Island Drive, Curbed Miami reported.

The mansion will rest on a 48,000-square-foot plot in the shape of a pizza slice. Together with the home’s sharp angles, the design reportedly evokes the Star Destroyer, the Star Wars series’ iconic triangular spaceship.

Plans for the more-than 24,000-square-foot home include a two-story living room, two garages and a roof deck.

Shay Kostiner purchased the property in 2010 for $7.25 million, according to Miami-Dade property records. The 1935-house is one of Miami Beach’s most historic properties. It was once owned by former Miami Beach mayor John Levi, who is also credited for bringing Miami Beach founder Carl Fisher to the city.

Kostiner’s application will be reviewed by the Miami Beach Design Review Board in March. Beilinson Gomez Architects have worked on projects such as the restoration of the Betsy Ross Hotel, and Miami Beach and Design District retail sites. [Curbed Miami] — Sean Stewart-Muniz
