Condo at One Thousand Museum sells for $6M

A corner unit in the upcoming One Thousand Museum condo tower by Zaha Hadid Architects just sold for more than $6 million.

The residence is on the 25th floor and has 4,601 square feet of interior space and an 819-square-foot balcony. It has four bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms and exposure to the east, west and south.

Carlo Dipasquale of Cervera Real Estate brought the buyer — an undisclosed Italian who is paying cash and has already made a 40-percent deposit for the unit under contract.

Dipasquale told The Real Deal that the building’s design is unique to Miami.

“There are no two units that are exactly the same,” Dipasquale told TRD. “Every single apartment is a piece of art.”

ONE Sotheby’s International Realty is the tower’s exclusive listing agent.

The tower, at 1000 Biscayne Boulevard, is starchitect Zaha Hadid Architects’ first design in the Western Hemisphere. It will stretch 62 stories and house 83 units, with prices starting at $5.5 million and sizes ranging from half-floor units to the double-level, 15,000-square-foot penthouse on the top two floors. The building will also feature Miami’s first rooftop helipad, with a lounge immediately below.

1000 Museum is being developed by  Louis Birdman and Gregg Covin, who purchased the property for $36 million and partnered with developer Regalia Group in May.

The project broke Miami-Dade County construction records in February when workers drilled 160 feet into the ground to pour the building’s foundations.
