Miami Beach-based Menin Hospitality was brought on to manage the food & beverage operations at Bahia Mar, the 39-acre oceanfront development that was acquired last year by a partnership of major Miami real estate players.

The ownership, which includes Jimmy and Kenny Tate and Sergio Rok, acquired the Bahia Mar Resort and Marina with plans to upgrade the waterfront Fort Lauderdale site, at 801 Seabreeze Boulevard, with new retail space, restaurants and condos in July 2014.

“Menin Hospitality’s hands on approach and entrepreneurial spirit will help us rebrand our food and beverage outlets, activating a part of the property that has been silent for many years,” Jimmy Tate, president of Tate Capital, said in a statement.

Menin’s portfolio includes Bodega Taqueria y Tequila, Radio Bar South Beach, Pizza Bar South Beach, and hotels Gale South Beach, Kaskades Suites at Gale, Sanctuary South Beach and Bentley South Beach.

Rialto Capital Management and RCI Marine are also part of the group that purchased a long-term lease for the 39-acre Bahia property for an undisclosed price. Blackstone Group sold the lease to the partnership. — Katherine Kallergis
