Two condos at Mansions at Acqualina sell for $5.5M

Two units in the newly built Mansions at Acqualina condo tower were just sold for $5.5 million each, Miami-Dade property records show, perhaps with intentions to create a two-story duplex.

Units 401 and 501 were both sold in deeds filed on the same day — September 4 — last week. Both of the units, which are stacked on top of each other, commanded price tags of $5.5 million. And there is some indication that both sold to the same person.

The buyers were two separate LLCs with two separate mailing addresses. However, corporate records show that both are managed by Miami resident Carlos Frost. Frost is a property manager who’s named as the registered agent of multiple holding companies in Miami-Dade.

Details about individual units at the Mansions tower are not yet available in property records. However, units at the 47-story building start at 4,600 square feet.

The tower, at 17749 Collins Avenue, began recording transactions for its 86 units in August. So far, records show 18 units at the tower have been sold with prices ranging from $3.8 million to $7.8 million.

Just over two weeks ago, a former Russian state official paid $7 million to trade out his smaller condo at the original Acqualina tower for one at Mansions.
