Nest Seekers International agents are set to star in a new reality TV series hosted by the BBC.
The show, called “Crazy Rich Agents: Selling Dream Homes,” will follow a group of new brokers as they navigate the real estate market in London and compete for a chance to work at the firm’s headquarters in New York City.
“It’s not what you may be used to seeing, you know, the glitz and glamor of big transactions and big commissions,” Nest Seekers CEO Eddie Shapiro said. “It’s about the true journey of agents in this business rather than fantasy that a lot of the shows have been selling for a long time.”
Viewers can expect to see properties both in and outside of London, including a 35-room castle in County Durham and a £30 million townhouse in Mayfair.
The first episode of the four-part series will air on Sunday, Aug. 6, at 9 p.m. British Summer Time. The series is also available for streaming on BBC iPlayer.
Nest Seekers is no stranger to the limelight. Shapiro said he turned to reality TV about 15 years ago as a way to compete with some of the bigger brands in the city.
Since then, several agents at the firm have starred in other reality TV shows, including Ryan Serhant whose tenure on “Million Dollar Listing New York” began when he was still with Nest Seekers.
“We sometimes look at ourselves as almost like a talent agency as much as we are a brokerage,” Shapiro said. “Real estate is a genre. It’s a genre of television and media that streaming platforms and the public cannot get enough of.”
Some of the brokerage’s Hamptons agents headlined a season of Netflix’s “Million Dollar Beach House,” but the streaming platform never filmed the second season.
Three of the brokers from “Beach House” joined three other Hamptons agents, including Bianca D’Alessio and Mia Calabrese, for “Selling the Hamptons” on Discovery+.
