A real estate agent in San Antonio has been missing since Monday, igniting concerns about her safety and whereabouts.
Nix Realty’ Suzanne Simpson appeared to go missing early on Monday morning, according to the Austin American-Statesman. The 51-year-old mother of four from Olmos Park failed to pick up a child from school that day, which her husband, Brad, said she typically does.
Brad allegedly got into a physical altercation with his wife after a party on Sunday night, a neighbor told investigators. He appeared to grab Suzanne in an effort to stop her from running away, an arrest affidavit further detailed.
A neighbor reportedly heard several screams after the fight, then saw Brad drive away from the family home, returning hours later.
Police arrested Brad on Wednesday for assault and family violence; one of the couple’s children told school staff that her father hit her mother in the face and took her phone. Bond for the two charges was set at a combined $2 million.
The Olmos Park police chief did not declare Brad a suspect in his wife’s disappearance after his arrest.
On her Nix profile page, the firm issued a statement about Suzanne’s disappearance.
“Suzanne Simpson is a beloved Mother, Sister, Friend, & Professional Realtor. Her Nix Realty Family is devastated by her disappearance and the reports of physical violence towards her.

In addition to tips into her disappearance, police are looking for help in determining the location of Brad’s vehicle on Sunday night following the alleged family violence incident.
“Suzanne was known and is known as a very loving and reliable person, especially with her children and her work,” Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas said on Wednesday. “She hasn’t been to work and she hasn’t contacted her children so [it’s] highly unusual.”
