Anywhere exec joins Compass International Holdings C-suite

Sue Yannaccone to serve as firm’s chief operating officer

The newly created Compass International Holdings is adding an Anywhere executive to its C-suite.

The combined entity — which includes Compass and brands previously under the Anywhere umbrella, including Sotheby’s International, the Corcoran Group and Coldwell Banker — tapped Sue Yannacconne as its chief operating officer.

Yannacconne previously oversaw brokerage and franchise operations as president and CEO of Anywhere Brands and Anywhere Advisors. She joined Anywhere in November 2020, following stints as the executive vice president of Coldwell Banker Realty and as the president and CEO of ERA Real Estate.

“My sole focus is ensuring that every one of our 340,000 real estate professionals is benefiting directly from the strength of our combined organization,” Yannaccone said in a statement.

Anywhere CEO Ryan Schneider stepped down from his role after eight years atop the company following its merger with Compass, which closed in January. Under the terms of the deal, announced in September, Schneider agreed to exit the business, with Robert Reffkin taking over as the CEO and chairman of the combined firm.

The acquisition brought a few executive shakeups to Compass, including the departure of Lauren Conway, who joined the brokerage as the head of its mergers and acquisitions department less than a year prior. Conway was the CEO of the Gulf Coast-based brokerage Latter & Blum before it was acquired by Compass in 2024.

Last month, the company also tapped Reffkin’s former chief of staff, Neda Navab, to serve as brokerage president.

The holdings company announced Yannacconne’s new position on Wednesday, following news that it planned to drop its antitrust lawsuit against Zillow. Compass sued the aggregator in June over an update to its listing access standards, which barred agents from uploading a property to the platform that had been marketed outside of the MLS for more than 24 hours.

Compass attributed the lawsuit dismissal to a change in Zillow’s listing standards, which now allow agents to market properties on the site before adding them to the MLS. However, the rules still prohibit listings that were previously on a private listing network.
