“Reading through this is a nightmare.”
The full scope of the abuse committed by the Alexander brothers is exposed in Episode 2 of The Real Deal’s explosive documentary series, “The Alexander Brothers,” produced by Nicole Guillen. The latest installment dives into the disturbing allegations that culminated in brothers Tal, Oren and Alon Alexander being found guilty in March in a historic sex trafficking case in which nearly a dozen women testified.
The shocking story, which began with a tip in June 2024, tracks a pattern of abuse leveled for a decade by the hot-shot luxury brokers. The documentary details the civil lawsuits made possible by New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which temporarily lifted a statute of limitations.
Early victims filed lawsuits first uncovered by The Real Deal, alleging drugging, sexual assault and forceful confinement at locations like Sir Ivan’s Castle in the Hamptons. The lawsuits revealed common themes of drug-facilitated assault and the intimidating influence of wealthy perpetrators, which often delayed reporting.
The legal battles expanded in January when Tiffany Rodriguez filed a sex trafficking allegation and broadened the scope of accountability to include real estate industry figures like Douglas Elliman and Howard Lorber.
One pivotal moment came during the week of deliberations in the federal case in March when Tracy Tutor, a top Elliman producer and star of Million Dollar Listing, filed her own lawsuit alleging she was drugged and assaulted by Oren.
The episode features interviews with key voices instrumental in covering the story and advocating for victims. TRD senior editor Ellen Cranley, residential bureau chief Katherine Kallergis and reporter Sheridan Wall speak about their coverage.
Viewers will also hear from Bloom Firm managing attorney Arick Fudali, who represented victims in high-profile cases (including the Alexanders’) and St. John’s University professor Marina Sorochinski, who lends expertise from a psychologist’s perspective.
Watch “The Alexander Brothers: The Crimes” now to understand how a decade of alleged abuse within the luxury real estate world was finally brought to light, and stay tuned for future episodes of the series.
