A ski-in, ski-out mansion next to the slopes in Vail, Colorado, has listed for $49.5 million — $22 million more than its sale price four years ago.

The newly renovated,12,500-square-foot estate is up for sale at 107 Rockledge Road, overlooking Vail Village, the Denver Post reported. The seller was not disclosed.

The two-story mansion, designed by Kyle Webb, was named Home of the Year by Mountain Living magazine upon its completion in 2010. It last traded in 2020 for $27.5 million.

The eight-bedroom, nine-bathroom home is seeking a summit-like price, even for upscale Vail.

“It’s probably the highest-priced single-family home that we’ve ever listed,” broker Liz Leeds, who holds the listing, told the Post. The listing is shared by Debbie Gibson Curtis of Slifer Smith & Frampton.

The stone and wood manse, notable for its soaring glass foyer, has views of the Gore Range above and Vail Village below. It’s billed as among the finest “true ski in-out estates” in Vail.

“Walk out the front door and grab your skis from the ski closet and hit the slopes on Bear Tree run,” the listing says.

The three-story mansion on 0.67 acres has a large living room with a stone fireplace and custom crystal chandelier. Other features include a gourmet kitchen and master bedroom with dual walk-in closets. Many of the interior furnishings are custom made.

The ground floor contains a media room, game room and access to an outdoor hot tub and lap pool. It has a two-car garage, plus eight parking spaces, according to the listing

“(This is) the true definition of luxury in the Colorado Rockies,” Leeds said in a promotional video.

The record price paid for a Vail home was in 2020, when biotech executive Kevin Ness bought a six-story, 15,000-square-foot mansion for $57.3 million. In August, it was available to rent for $22,000 a night.
