CBRE has named a 20-year industry veteran to head up its Colorado market.

The Dallas-based commercial real estate firm appointed Jessica Ostermick as market leader for the Centennial State after the former head stepped down late last year, the Denver Business Journal reported. She replaces Katie Kruger.

Ostermick will oversee CBRE offices in Downtown Denver, the Denver Tech Center, Boulder, Colorado Springs and Fort Collins. She leads leasing, property management, sales, valuation and debt and structured finance.

She has served CBRE for a decade, most recently as a partner on CBRE’s industrial institutional investment sales and leasing. Prior to being a broker, she served as the firm’s research director for Colorado.

Ostermick’s experience and “laser focus on client needs is a critical skill set in today’s environment,” Pete Schippits, CBRE’s west region president, said in a statement. “She is ardent on Colorado’s growth potential, knows the CBRE platform, and has a vision for how to combine CBRE’s talent, resources and capabilities to drive exceptional client outcomes.”

Before CBRE, Ostermick worked at Oz Architecture as a business development director. She also worked as a loan analyst at the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Ostermick serves on the board of directors for NAIOP Colorado and is involved in the Colorado chapter of the Urban Land Institute, the University of Colorado Business Economic Outlook Forum and the Susan Stanton Leadership Academy.
