AI startup D1srupt1ve will move its headquarters from L.A.’s Silicon Beach to the sands of the Las Vegas Strip.

The Marina del Rey-based tech firm announced it will relocate its hub to a 17,000-square-foot building at 2780 South Las Vegas Boulevard, on the North Strip across from the Fontainebleau, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

Company executives said the firm wanted to be in the city’s “burgeoning ecosystem in sports, entertainment, tech and hospitality.” It expects to hire up to 150 employees this year.

Founder and CEO Nathaniel Hunter said Las Vegas’ entrepreneurial spirit compelled it to move to Nevada. Terms of its office lease or purchase were not disclosed.

“There’s a huge buzz in the area when it comes to sports, entertainment, technology and hospitality,” Hunter said in a statement. “The crossover of these industries makes for the perfect recipe of human interaction with technology, which is at the heart of what we are focused on at D1srupt1ve.”

The firm also said it was drawn to the Las Vegas Valley by undisclosed business-friendly incentives from local and state governments. It credited conversations with the lieutenant governor’s office about a goal to bring AI-focused companies to Nevada.

In a press release, D1srupt1ve credited “substantial funding, energy and tax incentives,” as well as “various incentives and benefits for employees” as reasons for the relocation.

The AI startup, founded in January 2023 according to Hunter’s LinkedIn page, will dub its new Las Vegas headquarters “Perception: a Disruptive Innovation Studio.” The new offices will  include dozens of AI-enhanced screens and “immersive environments” — with its AI technology embedded into the walls and ceilings.

Its new hub will take up a two-story office building once known as Fontainebleau Sales Center, according to LoopNet. The white building, constructed in 2008, has few windows.

D1srupt1ve is now based out of a 3,500-square-foot house in Marina del Rey, a block from the beach and a few blocks from the harbor inlet, according to its website. The firm is officially registered at Hunter’s 3,400-square-foot house in Encino, according to state business records.
