Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners has sculpted its vision for an ambitious mixed-use project in Nashville’s trendy Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood.
The local firm released renderings and details of Wedgewood Village, an 18-acre, multi-building development slated for 1.6 million square feet of office space, retail, restaurants, apartments and a slew of amenities, the Nashville Post reported.
Wedgewood-Houston, roughly 3 miles south of downtown Nashville, has evolved from an industrial hub to a trendy arts district, filled with galleries, studios, workshops, breweries and distilleries.
Notable tenants for the forthcoming project will include Soho House, the Academy of Country Music and a French restaurant, Pastis.
The initial phases of Wedgewood Village will yield the construction of seven buildings. Embracing a neo-traditional design aesthetic primarily featuring brick cladding, they will complement AJ Capital’s existing properties in Wedgewood-Houston, including May Hosiery Mills and Nashville Warehouse Company.
A 170,000-square-foot, four-story building at 515 Houston Street will be anchored by Japanese restaurant Momotaro and an undisclosed Italian eatery. Construction is underway, the outlet said.
A mixed-use building at 507 Houston is set to include 51,000 square feet of office space and 10,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. A four-story structure at 448 Humphreys Street will feature 48,000 square feet of office space and 5,300 square feet of ground-floor retail. A 240-unit apartment building will rise next to it.
Future phases call for an additional 156,000-square-foot office building atop a parking structure, at 430 Chestnut Street. A live music venue will be the centerpiece of an adjacent building.
While an architect has not been named, AJ Capital has previously worked with Nashville-based Hastings Architecture and Chicago-based Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture.
