The deal marks Hermès brick-and-mortar entree into Tennessee, and adds another layer of polish on AJ Capital’s 18-acre mixed-use development in Wedgewood-Houston, a former industrial district that’s become a hub for the artsy just south of Nashville’s downtown.

The Hermès store, expected to open by the end of 2025,  will be located near the SoHo House private club at the May Hosiery Mills building. The larger Wedgewood Village development is also home to the Academy of Country Music, and will add high-end dining options with the opening of new tenants Pastis and Momotaro later this year.

Hermès has 40 stores in the U.S., with most clustered in coastal markets. The closest store to the new Nashville location will be in Atlanta, where it has operated since 2017.AJ Capital recently obtained a shell permit to begin construction of an office building across the street from the May Hosiery Mills building.
