GBT Realty has plans for a mixed-use tower adjacent to the future international headquarters of Oracle in Nashville’s River North district.
It will feature retail, co-working spaces, a hotel and residential units, but details on the project’s cost and start date haven’t been disclosed, the Nashville Post reported.
The Brentwood-based developer released a rendering of the building, designed by Nashville-based architecture firm Gresham Smith, showing a height of about 30 stories.
GBT acquired the 3.7-acre site in November 2021 for $60 million, a price of $16.2 million per acre, which set a record for the city’s priciest land deal. The first phase of the development will take shape on the 2-acre plot at 2140 Waterside Drive.
The tower’s location offers sweeping views of the city, including the planned $2 billion domed stadium for the Tennessee Titans, the downtown skyline, Germantown, East Nashville and Oracle’s campus.
The River North project adds to GBT’s growing Nashville portfolio, which includes the redevelopment of the former Beaman Automotive site in Midtown and the mixed-use Sinclair tower at the split of West End Avenue and Elliston Place. Start dates for those projects have yet to be announced.
