A waterfront mansion on Lake Washington that has hosted Barack Obama is the priciest home for sale in Seattle so far this year.

The Georgian-style mansion at an undisclosed address hit the market for $75 million, the Seattle Times reported. In addition to being the most expensive residential listing in Seattle so far this year, it’s the second-most expensive in the state of Washington.

Bruce Blume, philanthropist and founder of Seattle-based commercial real estate firm Blume Company Real Estate, bought the property in 2005 from the Canadian government for nearly $7.8 million. The following year, he demolished the existing Tudor-style manor house built in 1928; he completed the current mansion’s construction in 2009. The King County Assessor’s Office valued the property at around $31.4 million, according to the Times.

The Blumes hosted several fundraising events for Democrats in the mansion. Two of them in 2012 and 2014 were attended by President Obama.

The nearly 12,000-square-foot home, located in Seattle’s Denny-Blaine neighborhood, is perched on a 1.6-acre lot with a private 160-foot pebble beach on Lake Washington. The manse holds five bedrooms and 12 bathrooms with a total of 12 fireplaces throughout the home. It also boasts entertainment terraces, a dock, a lakeside garden pavilion, a swimming pool and a spa. To power it all, the home has geothermal and solar green energy systems, according to the listing

A buyer would enjoy privacy at the two-story home as it’s not visible from the road and is blocked by high hedges and set off from the street by a steep driveway. At one point, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain lived on the same street, according to the Times.

In the spring, Jeff Bezos’ former home at 4053 Hunts Point Road sold $63 million, making it the only home in Washington to sell for more than $30 million this year.

Still, other listings on the market are asking for more than that threshold, including a waterfront home in Medina for $33.8 million, two Hunts Point homes for $35 million each, and a home in Seattle for nearly $40 million that has been on the market for over a year, the Puget Sound Business Journal reported
