Times Square’s Howard Johnson’s will be razed some time this year so the site can accommodate an upscale retail development, according to The Post. The restaurant at Broadway and 46th Street, with its winking blue and orange lights, has been a landmark there for more than 50 years. The purchaser, Jeff Sutton’s Wharton Acquisitions, may level the site and an adjacent site to construct a new “retail box.” more [Post]
