A coalition of West Side residents, elected officials and a community group have slapped the Metropolitan Transportation Authority with another lawsuit the fourth so far to stop sale of the agency’s rail yards to the Jets for a new far West Side stadium. At the same time, Michael Cardozo, a city attorney being scrutinized for his ties to the Jets, will appear before the City Council to argue that Mayor Michael Bloomberg is entitled to dip into a fund from PILOTs or payments in lieu of taxes to finance projects such as the stadium. more [Post]
