Trump bought site of landmark deal 20 years ago

Fresh details about the largest residential sale in New York City history are out. On Wednesday, the news broke that Donald Trump and a group of Hong Kong investors are selling a 77-acre site on the West Side to the Carlyle Group and Extell Development Corporation for a record $1.8 billion. Trump apparently bought the land in 1985 for $82 million. Carlyle and Extell are planning to build 3,000 apartments on the site between 59th and 72nd streets. more [MSNBC]
