God Squad critiques Ratner’s plans

A group of Brooklyn ministers dubbed the God Squad (a.k.a. the Downtown Brooklyn Leadership Coalition) has launched a campaign to rein in developer Bruce Ratner’s proposed 19,000-seat, $3.5 billion arena in Prospect Heights that would house the New Jersey Nets, the NBA franchise Ratner bought last year. The God Squad, who published a 12-page newspaper this weekend criticizing the arena, wants Ratner to answer concerns about the arena’s impact on surrounding communities.more [Daily News]
