The International Olympics Committee is expected to release today an evaluation of the cities vying for the 2012 summer Games, including New York. A favorable review by the committee could boost proponents of the proposed West Side stadium. Negative comments could all but derail the possibility of the Olympics in the Big Apple. If the Games did come, they would have a tremendous impact on some neighborhoods in particular, such as Long Island City and Chelsea.more [NYT]
