Housing correction could top dot.com bust

The national economy could be drastically affected by any burst of a housing bubble, according to a recent study by the International Monetary Fund. The IMF looked at 15 markets across the United States, including New York state, especially vulnerable to a housing market correction, and found that a correction in these markets could have an effect on the economy greater than the dot.com bust a few years ago. more [CNN]
